ACCESS TO CENTER
Each parent, guardian, or authorized person with be provided full access to Jolly Toddlers without notification whenever their child(ren) is present. Please remember the door code is for the safety of your child and the children ay Jolly Toddlers. The code may only be used by staff, parents, guardians, and authorized persons. Parents are asked not to share codes with unauthorized users.
Jolly Toddlers does not offer credits. However, should there be any extenuating circumstances, Jolly Toddlers will work with their families and all credits will be at the sole-discretion of the owner, Nancy A. Thompson, R.N.
$50.00 activities fee will be due in September of each school year.
Payment received after Friday is subject to a late fee of $10.00 per day. After three late tuition payments, you will be required to pay tuition on a monthly basis. Monthly tuition is due the 25th of the month for the upcoming month. You will receive reasonable notice of any changes in tuition.

Please allow enough time to arrive at the Jolly Toddlers, pick up your child, and leave by closing time. After 6:00PM, a late pick up fee of $1.00 per child/per minute is payable after the first three minutes. This fee is subject to change. Payment is to be given to the Assistant Director that evening and if the Assistant Director is not there, then it should be given to the Assistant Director the next morning.
In addition to the late pick up fee, if a child has not been picked up by 6:00PM and you have not notified the Assistant Director at Jolly Toddlers, we will first begin to contact you at the contact numbers you provide on the Child Emergency Form. Then we will call the emergency contacts listed on the Child Emergency Form.
Accommodations will be made for someone to stay with your child for as long as possible, but if after one hour you child remains at Jolly Toddlers and we have not been advised pick-up time and person for your child we will call the Police Station in Southampton, Pennsylvania for assistance.
Since situations due arise where Jolly Toddlers staff will need to contact you regarding your child, it is extremely important to provide Jolly Toddlers with updated emergency numbers, including cell phone numbers for the Child Emergency Form as often as they are changed and at the very least every 6 months.
In order to maintain low teacher-child ratios, Jolly Toddler’s requires that all tuitions must be paid in full regardless of absence for any reason, including illness, act of god, or extended vacation hold your child’s place in a classroom. There will be a one-week tuition free week for those who attend full time (i.e. five days per week including during the summer and have been attending Jolly Toddlers for six( 6) months), which can be used for vacation or illness once in a calendar year. However, these days must be taken within the calendar year and cannot be carried over.
A registration fee of $100.00 per child must accompany each application. This fee is not refundable or applicable toward the tuition.
Jolly Toddlers does not require strict attendance for children who are enrolled in one of the regular Jolly Toddlers programs; however, Jolly Toddlers does support regular and structured attendance for all children enrolled at the Center regardless of the program under which a child attends. Regular and structured attendance, as well as regular and structured pick-up and drop off for children, provides the most predictability and stability for a child and therefore is best option for a child and their social and emotional development. Additionally, family involvement and support is essential to a child’s successful integration and ability to enjoy school. Therefore, it is ultimately the parents’/guardians’ responsibility to ensure that their child is receiving the most from the education and time spent at Jolly Toddlers. If a child is excessively absent, a teacher or staff member if Jolly Toddlers will call the child’s parents’/guardians’. Jolly Toddler’s teachers and staff members will make every effort to encourage regular and structured attendance for all children.
An additional fee of $45.00 will be charged for a returned check. After (2) returned checks, Jolly Toddlers will have the option to refuse any future checks any may require that you pay your child’s tuition via money orders or cashiers check. If you are paying with, you must may your payment only to the assistant director who will provide you with a receipt. Tuition will not be credited to you unless you have a receipt. No money is to be left on the desk, the kitchen counter, in a lunch box, or in children’s clothing.
SPECIAL PROGRAMS & FIELD TRIPS
PRE K COUNTS
Jolly Toddlers may offer a special program or field trip in which your child may participate. If your child is asked to participate in one or more of the events notices of the program or trip and the fee for such event will be posted within a reasonable notice period. If a signed permission slip is required for your child to participate in the special program or field trip it will be sent home and must be return BEFORE your child may attend the event.
If a child is enrolled in the Pennsylvania Keystone STARS PRE-K Counts Program, the child will be subject to the Pennsylvania Keystone STARS PRE-K Counts attendance policy (attached to this Policy & Procedure entitled “United Way of Bucks County-Success By 6 Consortium PA Pre-K Counts Program Attendance Policy”).
Students enrolled at Jolly Toddlers Early Education Center through the Pennsylvania Keystone STARS PRE-K Counts program in a PA Pre-K Counts classroom are considered full-time and must attend five (5) days per week for a minimum of one-hundred and eighty (180) school days per year for the full length of the school day, either: (x) two and a half (2.5) hours per half day, or (y) five (5) hours per full day.
Absences & strategies for working with families when children are absent:
If a child is enrolled in the Keystone STARS PRE-K Counts program and is absent one time a teacher or staff member if Jolly Toddlers will call the child’s parents’/guardians’ and remind the family of the policy and make every effort to encourage regular and structured attendance.
If a child is close to exceeding the maximum allowable absences for the program the child is enrolled in, the appropriate Jolly Toddler’s teacher and/or staff member shall contact the Bucks County IU and determine the path forward and remind the family of the attendance policy and make every effort to encourage regular and structured attendance.
If a child has exceeded the maximum allowable absences for the program the child is enrolled in, but such absences are excused, the appropriate Jolly Toddler’s teacher and/or staff member shall contact the Bucks County IU and determine the best path forward.
10% discounts may be extended to oldest sibling in families whose children come each week for the entire calendar year and are considered full time. This discount may not be applicable if your children do not come during the summer and/or your one-week tuition free week is taken in a week other than during the summer months.
DURING JUNE, JULY & AUGUST
After your child has attended Jolly Toddlers for a full six-month period and the tuition is paid in full, a tuition-free vacation will be offered and may only be taken during the summer months of June, July or August. This tuition-free vacation is limited to 1 (one) week. "A week" is defined as Monday through Friday, no exceptions (i.e. Thursday-Thursday is not a week). A two-week written notice of vacation, whether it is a tuition-free vacation or a non-tuition-free vacation, must be given to the Director or Assistant Director for approval so we can maintain the quality of care that we provide. Should there be any extenuating circumstances, any changes, and/or extensions of the tuition-free vacation; they will be granted at the sole-discretion of the owner, Nancy A. Thompson, R.N.
ANY OTHER MONTH:
No tuition-free vacations may be taken during in any other the month of the school year. A two-week written notice of vacation, whether it is a tuition-free vacation or a non-tuition-free vacation, must be given to the Director or Assistant Director for approval so we can maintain the quality of care that we provide. Should there be any extenuating circumstances, any changes, and/or extensions of the tuition-free vacation; they will be granted at the sole-discretion of the owner, Nancy A. Thompson, R.N.
In an effort to maintain the professional status of our staff and prevent conflict of interest, babysitting by Jolly Toddler staff is not allowed. If you should hire any Jolly Toddler staff, this will be in direct conflict of Jolly Toddler’s policy and such arrangements and payment for services are solely between you and staff member. Any such arrangements are not sanctioned by Jolly Toddlers, and you agree to hold Jolly Toddlers harmless from any damages arising from such arrangement. In addition, if you hire one of the Jolly Toddler staff to work for you; you agree to pay an administration replacement fee of liquated damages to Jolly Toddlers of $3,500.00 due immediately.
LOST TOYS/ BELONGINGS
You are required to give Jolly Toddlers a two-week written notice about any reduction, change or withdraw of your child’s and or your child’s schedule. You will be responsible for the tuition for your child during for those two weeks of notice. Such written notice must be given only to the Assistant Director at Jolly Toddlers, otherwise you are subject to the full fees for the two weeks notice period and any additional time that may have accrued.
Jolly Toddlers cannot be responsible for lost, stolen, or misplaced toys, belongings, or other items brought into our center. Please do not bring in anything for your child that is of great value.
